I have decided to quit my current Company A.
My termination date is Sept 15th.
Am talking to Company B for my H1 transfer.
Can you please tell me how much time do I have from Sept 15th if the transfer application gets delayed, incase.

I have a question, on 25 june i got a RFE, i have not received it yet neither did my lawyer. The case status shows that both me and my wife got the RFE. I think its most probaly to produce the Birth Certificate.
My wife BC is in the process and i think i will be able to get it by the end of the week.
My question is that if i am unable to get the BC of my wife in time, is it possible to buy some more days from USCIS. Like CAN USCIS provide SOME ADDITIONAL TIME SO THAT I CAN GET THE BC OF MY WIFE AND THEN SUBMIT. I DONT KNOW WHATS THE DEADLINE IS BUT I BELIVE ITS A VERY CLOSE CALL !!!! AND I MIGHT NEED SOME MORE TIME TO PRODUCE THE BIRTH CERTIFICATE.
PLEASE ADVISE. THANKS IN ADVANCE!!!!

The choice is pretty clear - apply for your GC (labor).
That way atleast you are in the system and have a PD.
Later on you might have some options to switch from Eb3 to Eb2 with the same or a different employer. Also if uscis manages to clear most of the backlog by end of 2010, then your wait won't be as bad as it has been for folks waiting since 2003.
And maybe even the possibility of a CIR bill next year will speed things up for you.

Please advice.
The H1-stamp on my passport has expired in 2005. I have an approval for H1 till 2010
I will be filing 485 / EAD / AP on July 1st in EB2 category.
Since the 485 approvals are 2-3 years away
Is it possible to go out of the country for H-1 B stamping or if the EAD/AP gets approved i must go on to that status.
H1 is preferable since i do not have to worry about work authorization
whereas with EAD since it expires in 1 year , i will have to keep my fingers crossed and not work till the next EAD gets approved ( after june next year )

Thanks for letting me know. I think paskal is in India now. Anyways we had a very small window of time to seek someone quickly. I have found one member willing to reveal his name and give the interview. The information is forwarded to the reporter. The reporter has to quickly do a story so that should be all for now. I got laid off last year and have been unemployed for 1 year.
I am thinking of applying for California state unemployment benefits. Here are my questions
1) Is there a risk that the EDD office could forward this information to USCIS
2) If the USCIS comes to know about this then is there a risk that they may issue a RFE for an updated job offer and subsequently deny I-485.

I was in MI for a long time, so have called them up and have urged them to join IV.
Hopefully they will make the right choice and do the right thing.

Springflower, I have used Infopass for obtaining AP last year since my father was not well and was hospitalized. I requested his doctor to issue me a certificate about the situation and submitted the same in the appointment. Although it took two weeks eventually seems like it worked.

Yes, I do get a separate approval notice every time.
We did speak to our lawyer today and she thinks its not a big deal and its ok to travel. So we are thinking of going ahead with our plans!
