Still waiting.................Am lost on what to do and whom to contact?

i am in similar situation for my wife too ... she entered in h4 but is working on EAD now. So, could someone plz let me know wat is her current immigration status ? cos, i don't see a status "EAD" on the dropdown when I try to eFile.
EAD is not a status like H-1 or H-4.
The status should be AOS , pending 485, etc.

Is there any basis needed for approving AP? Is it EAD ? If so my application is in deeps***. onceagain, is there anybody here with this kind of experience. Also since I already took infopass once, is there any use taking it again for my ead ?

Today, I spoke to a USCI Agent and his supervisor at NSC about my case..
I quizzed them about July 2007 revised visa bulletin etc.
He looked around, checked it for like 10 minutes and said HE DOESN'T HAVE
ANY MEMO. All he said that he has this MEMO which states that July 2007 (original) bulletin ..based on that EB1-3 for all countries are current.
:-) May be NSC approves application :-) as practically NO ONE can stop them..
Again this is based on my call to actual live human being at NSC..

UK and other countries in Europe must be smoking pot to think that they tap into the pool of skilled migrant workers returning from US. These people are returning back to their home countries primarily due to the recent advancements in their own countries, and to some extent due to the GC & visa mess in US.
The working (& living) condition in Europe is not as good as it is in US, and the scope for personal advancement is not as good as it is in India, China, Brazil, and many other countries. Why would anyone do a stop over in between? And that too in UK - the country with the most racism than any other European country, may be with the exception of Germany. Just look at how it reversed its GC policy (a scheme called by some other BS name).
Believe me - I'm speaking from more than 8 years of living and extensive travel in that region. You don't want to do that.
Not only India, also Britain and many more want to benefit from the high-skilled workers that the U.S. is already kicking out so they can let in more illegal Salvadoran maids:

Hey guys, I received this notice in the mail from USCIS asking me to appear for "Initial" interview for further processing of my I485. Can someone please throw some light on what that might involve?
My PD is 09/04, June 07 Filer and had an RFE back in Septmeber.

Folks! MSNBC is organizing a gut check on the immigration issue (though this appears to be on issues related to illegal immigration). It's a message board inviting opinions on immigration with an expert panel set to reply to the meesages posted. Eventually, messages will be short-listed for publishing. We may be able to make an opportunity out of this.

There is no information or caption on our home page that clearly states that this site/group is for highly skilled immigrants. We should come up with a caption that would convey this and also convey that its for all countries. We can add this beside the immigration voice logo.
The caption should be catchy and should convey the info....some thing like "by the people and for the people".
update: there is info about highly skilled immigrants on the home page but not sure if some people would have time to read these (especially those who just come in from other websites and might think this site is one of those immigration sites)
I think there is an article on front page. Also I am personnaly right now more interested in grass root state chapter person to person campaigning rather tha online campaigning. I think time has come to show the faces and numbers to each other. I appreciate your comments and my intention here is to just give an update. I am sure somebody from core is reading this and will take action if they like the idea....

I have a question regarding where to file my EAD renewal application. I am a July filer NJ resident and my I-485/EAD/AP were sent to Nebraska and got the AP/EAD approved through Nebraska going by my LIN no. As per the (C)(9) rules it says NJ residents should file to Texas service center and somewhere else I read that my EAD renewal application should be sent to the location where my I-485 is getting processed.
Please share your experiences.

We went to India last year. No issues. No need of transit visa. The German consulate letter says the same.

Hi,
I work as a full time employee (h1b) for a company abc in CA. In Oct 09 they laid off a couple of people and the attorney instead of revoking a laid off persons h1b sent a note to USCIS to revoke my h1b while im still employed. They informed USCIS to ignore the note they sent but USCIS ignored and cancelled my H1. In the meantime attorney files another h1b and got h1b approval (without i94 stub)
I was getting paystub till now and today they called me and said I was out of status due to the mistake they did. They didn't inform me about the out of status from Nov 07 2009. They basically wanted to cover their mistakes. Now yhey are asking me to go to Canada or Mexico to get H1B stamped. Here are my concerns
1) What will be implication in the embassy for such situations where I'm totally unaware of our of status situation
2) Is there chances of my H1B getting rejected in Canada or mexico due to out of status and would they ask me to go to India from Canada/Mexico ( i don't mind going to india but I have 5 month old baby and woudn't want to risk the travel from US to Canada/mexico to India)
3) Or is it advisable to go to india and get it stamped
My company has given a letter stating that it was their error to USICS and agreed to bear all the expenses for travel.
I need your urgent help and all of your comments and suggestions are greatly appreciated.
